After witnessing the emotional withdrawal and psychological damage inflicted on children by the isolation, social distancing and masks of the past 2 years (the covid era), we were moved to do something to reclaim hope for this generation. So as singing is the single greatest expression of joy we wrote a song and gathered our socially distanced children!
"Together We Rise Kids" is a song, a story, a video, a film and a humanitarian project. At the time when we felt isolated and disconnected, we understood the human need for connection; we must not forget what we have learned. Humanity needs interaction, not just a face on a screen.
Forward this song to help our children and young people to unite as a creative force for the future; to join together to create, tell stories, reconnect, build friendships and understand their place in the world as the next generation of creative leaders and influencers.
We need to encourage our children to look at ways of connecting with others at a more grass roots level and to understand that whilst the internet is a key tool to staying connected with the rest of the world, it is not, and should not, be our only method of connection.
This video is the pilot project filmed on location in Bahrain featuring children and young people from different nations who reach out to each other across the oceans using the timeless concept of 'message in a bottle'.
All money raised by the income generated from the record sales and video will be used to set up other Together We Rise Kids projects across the world.
This is a project about kids, for kids; we hope that this song will be sung around the world to inspire our children and young people to rekindle their hope and step into their destinies.
Please help us to help our kids, they are the future. How we respond to their needs will dictate the shape of the future of humanity.
lyrics
There's a song I'd like to sing
There's a joy I'd like to bring
We can wave and we can smile
We'll be apart just for a while.
So even though it seems to break our heart
We keep our distance and we stay apart.
In this time of distancing
We cannot hug but we can sing.
We can sing and we can dance
In this life, we've just one chance
Chorus
We are the children of the Covid generation
Side by side we stand with every nation.
We are the future we will lead this generation
We'll sing our song of hope to every nation.
I want to reach across the sea
To find a new reality
So raise your voice and join us now. Wave your hand and take a bow.
So even though I cannot hold your hand
Like this together we will always stand.
Chorus
We are the children of the Covid generation
Side by side we stand with every nation.
We are the future we will lead this generation
We'll sing our song of hope to every nation.
There's a hope buried down inside,
Beyond the tears we've never cried
In our hearts we know it's true
That it starts deep inside of you.
Bridge
Together we rise....
Let our hope fill the skies
The joy in your eyes
Together we rise
